"She always lost to the want that lives in the muck and the mud"

Mini Duffy is itching to tell her story.

She idolises Katie Taylor and her Olympic exploits. Living in a family crippled by shame, she desperately tries to be like the fighting Taylor. Resenting her mother's past, Mini’s toughness drives her headfirst into hilarious and horrifying situations as she stands up for herself and her sister and tries to turn the Duffy name clean. The play explores conceptions of strength, its source and inspiration, as Mini walks a tightrope between hope and despair.

A sharp, swift and ultimately moving tale told with humour, passion and pathos performed by award-winning actor Elaine Warde. Part of the Made to Shiver series.
